  So expensive for very little. 25 quid for a round of 5. Wow. 10 quid for 2 bowls of chips and a 40 minute wait. Standard day. The portion sizes have improved recently.. I'm surprised that each portion is greater than a potatoes worth (experience from previous visits). The village cricket match is on, Morris men fill the pub and there's only one lady staffing the bar. But it is very 'picturesque', if that's the thing at the top of your list. The high prices are designed, so I hear, to keep the 'riff raff' out.
